Regardless of how neat and clean a cook you are, getting dirty splashes on the surrounding walls is inevitable. However, since Murphy's law of anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, very often applies to cooking and other things in the kitchen, its often a better idea to just get some backsplash panels which you can use as tiles on the back. Most panels these days are quite elegant with very nice raised designs. Thankfully, they are also quite affordable with most places that sell them also offering free consultation and even installation. Installation for these backsplash panels is definitely not as time consuming as doing ceramic tile work as you can get these installed within a few hours, mainly because you can avoid the hassle of grouting and working with cement.
